Waste pickers at the Boitshepi landfill in South Africa sort through what the municipal and private trucks dump there, looking for valuable recyclables. The waste pickers earn an income and reduce the volume of waste buried in the landfill. They sell paper, metal, plastic, and glass to a middleman, who pays the waste pickers a small proportion of what he will receive from industry. FULLY RELEASED
