Raúl Ríos Ascencio is a waste picker and leader of Asochapineroan affiliate of the Asociación de Recicladores de Bogotá (ARB), an organization of waste pickers associations and cooperatives that advocates for waste pickers' rights. He goes through the streets in the Chapinero neighbourhood on his tricycle collecting recyclable materials. He has also negotiated with building administrators, neighbours, and with public agencies, among others, so that members of his association are able to collect recyclable materials.
