Unmarried adolescent girls, ages 15 to 19, from the Mahadalit community attend a Pathfinder International training about adolescent sexual and reproductive health. Discussion of issues related to sexual health is taboo, so adolescent girls often have limited or no access to information. These trainings provide girls with accurate information, enabling them to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health. In one such training, a student discusses menstruation and associated social beliefs. The teachers clarify myths and misconceptions around menstruation and teach appropriate menstrual hygiene.
